Celebrating Significant Gains in GCSE Results

Bohunt Education Trust (BET), a multi-academy trust (MAT) with exceptionally high standards and expectations, is celebrating improved Progress 8 (P8) scores for all its eligible schools this summer, in GCSE results tables published this week.

The Department for Education published provisional results this week for P8 which measures progress by each student from age 11 to GCSE across eight subjects, including key academic subjects.

City Academy Norwich, which BET has been providing school improvement support to since September 2017, is one of the fastest-improving schools in Norfolk, scoring -0.31 in 2018 compared to -0.57 in 2017.

Chief Executive Officer of Bohunt Education Trust, Neil Strowger, said:

“This has been a year of significant gains by all our schools and I am immensely proud of not just the strong attainment by our students but also, crucially, the excellent progress they make with us. At BET, we provide highly effective teaching and unparalleled opportunity to all our students, encouraging students to become ‘game-changers’. Today’s scores reinforce the success of our approach. Our relentless focus is on the quality of the student experience – and students are realising their full potential, which is wonderful to see.”
