CAN’s first House Christmas Lunches

House Christmas Lunch

CAN held their first ever House Christmas lunches at the beginning of December.  Phoenix were the first on Weds 4th, followed by Griffins on Thur 5th and Titans on Friday 6th.  The atrium was set up with Christmas themed tables with crackers, and a gift for each student of their House badge; and to add to the festive atmosphere all the favourite Christmas music was played.  Lunch was served during period 4, which added to the excitement – Christmas lunch instead of a lesson, a bonus!

Senior staff served a traditional Christmas meal to 200 students each day prepared by Sally and her hardworking team in the kitchen.  Mr Collin threw himself into the festive theme, and was adorned from head to toe in festive clothing and adornments.

Students thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to sit with friends, and teachers,  and have food delivered to them by staff.

The House Christmas Lunch is now embedded in the culture of CAN, and will be a lovely addition to our calendar every Christmas.

A big thank you to Sally and her team in the kitchen, who served up 200 House meals each day, then served regular lunch fayre to the rest of the school!
