CAN’s Best Ever City Athletics Event

Director of Sport, Mr Moggan

76 students from years 7-10 took part in the City Athletics Event at the UEA Sportspark. There were some outstanding performances across the year groups. We were really proud of the way our students conducted themselves on and off the track.

Highlights of the day included:

Wilondja Rajabu destroying the field in the U15 100m, finishing 10m ahead of the opposition.

Ben Grey with some fantastic throws in the U15 javelin. Ben threw 35.57 to win the event by 10ms.

Justas Gurskas won the U15 shot put competition with a put of 10.70m.

There were also notable performances from:

Ebony Mudd-100m

Alex Giles-100m

Favor Agoba-100m

Vicky Corner-300m

Courtney Lawes-relay

Both the U14 boys and U15 boys finished third, and the team finished joint third overall which is the academy’s best ever result. Thank you to Mr Taylor for organising and well done to all the students who represented the school so well.

Enjoy the break and we will see you all at your after school athletics club on Wednesdays after half term break.
